I don't say that lightly. I still have very fond memories of noshing on noodles, Sloppy Joes and house-made sausages and sauces during early mornings at the Quarry Farmers & Ranchers Market. Now available for breakfast at the Pearl Farmers Market and for brunch at their commercial kitchen (5249 McCullough Ave., 210-570-6318), Ming's Thing will start serving lunch Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Due to evenings getting colder and it being a patio-only operation, Ming's is forgoing dinner service, which they launched in late October.

Expect to find fried rice, noodles (vegetarian, but available with protein add-ons) and specials, such as northern Chinese style beef stew served with rice, and price points should stay around $7 to $10.
