Lucky for us, two of that era's underground rock powerhouses are reforming for a show at Limelight on Saturday, January 26.
Emerging from the early '90s' noise rock scene (think Midwest label Amphetamine Reptile and its stable of bands), Chapstick and Worm secured sizable local followings by relentless gigging and DIY releases. Now, they're returning to give us whipper-snappers a long-needed SA music history lesson.
With Lubbock cowpunk outfit the Beaumonts (who have more of a honky-tonk edge to their music but still retain a punk aesthetic, lyrically), rounding out the bill, this is sure to be a raucous glimpse into San Antonio’s treasured rock legacy.
Tickets ($10-$15) are on sale now and can be purchased here.
