The year was 1996. MTV was sucking in audiences across the planet for pretty much 24-hour coverage of the phenomenon known as MTV Spring Break, which that year was happening at Panama City Beach in Florida. The crowd watched Gavin Rossdale, at what seemed like the risk of being electrocuted, play “Glycerine” as rain poured down on the Englishman, a scene that would forever go down in history as...well, one of the wettest live music moments of the 1990s.

Reuniting in 2010 after an eight-year split, Bush hasn’t quite seen the same success with any of their albums past Razorblade Suitcase and Sixteen Stone. But that hasn’t stopped the band from continuing to push that grunge-toned “active rock” sound well into the late twenty-teens (or whatever we’re calling this current era).

On tour in support of their latest effort Black And White Rainbows, Bush will always remain a nostalgic highlight of that era that brought about bands like Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana. Dear grunge, may you rest in peace.

Monday, July 3, 7pm, Aztec Theatre, 104 N. St. Mary's St. Pre-sale starts on Wednesday, March 22 at 10am.
