Ex-Smiths Guitarist Johnny Marr Is Coming To San Antonio And We Can't Stop Crying

“Shyness is nice, and shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life you'd like to.”

So if there’s something you’d like to try, like for instance, going to see ex-Smith’s guitarist Johnny Marr play in the Alamo City, ask us we won’t say no, how could we?

If those Smith’s lyrics threw you for a loop and you’re wondering just what in the hot heck we’re talking about, the former guitarist for Morrissey-fronted group The Smiths is headed to Paper Tiger on Monday, October 8 and we’ve been set into a “Panic” over here at the office.

After five years and several iconic records later, Marr parted ways with the band citing musical differences, but we all know working with Morrissey after a while must’ve been a nightmare. Sigh, oh Morrissey, maybe if you didn’t cancel on us three times in a row, we’d feel different about ya.

Anyway, Marr is touring in support of his new solo album Call the Comet, set for a June 15 release. The new track “Hi Hello” sounds like it definitely could be a Smiths song and omg omg.
