Taking place this weekend is Partie Productions' and Lost Records' Fifth Annual Fall Fall Fall Fest. With more than 15 bands and a toy drive to benefit Filthy's Punks for Tots charity, the festival's music and booze will warm you up on these chilly December nights.
On the Partie Productions Stage, post-hardcore nightmare GnarWolf's "If A Plane Crashes, Where Do We Barry Manilow?" makes me want to hear "Mandy" a million times on repeat, but you can't mosh to the Manilow hit. Bringing that good ol' punk back, the intentionally misspelled Dispicables and the appropriately named Dead Weight will shake off the crust for this one-night stand. Taking the term "fang banger" to a whole new level, Bloodfuckers will make you slip in the blood that just erupted from your eardrums. With Tex-Mex psychobillies Los Tejanos Muertos, Hex Haven, a band called Caitlyn Jenner (I'm not sure how the transgendered community feels about this) and Soul Sacrifice.
Reppin' the Lost Records Stage is Junkie, the crest of landlocked SA's wave of garage-surf scene that's constantly gaining momentum. The howlin' and growlin' Teeth Of Wolves will make you- yes, I'm going there- hungry like the wolf. Can I get an "Amen!" for self-described Gospel punkers Harvey McLaughlin & the BottomFeeders? Or if you don't feel it, a "hell-nah?" With fun-in-the-sun Good City Modern and Michael Turnini.
$5, 6pm, the Ten Eleven, 1011 Avenue B, (210) 320-9080
