Krazy Kat Music Is Re-Opening?

Krazy Kat Music was one of the few independently-owned musical instrument stores in town, providing musicians from the local to the world famous with an opportunity to scope out their vintage and custom gear, most secondhand but well-preserved. Not only the home to employees of some of SA's loudest, baddest bands of the last 20 years, it was a meeting ground for musicians of all stripes and genres to get together and shoot the bull.

After being sold by original owner Eugene Ng several years ago, many employees and customers switched over to Robot Monster Guitars just across the street. However, the shop carried on and didn't shut its doors for good until recently.

Perhaps the most interesting information lies in the ambiguity of the rumors flying around about what exactly is taking place Saturday at 8pm at the shop on N. St. Mary's. Billed as a Re-opening, the invite only lists the performers, La Chichada, Noah Peterson and Ruben Martinez, and that it is "a fun, music event for everyone."
However, whether the shop will actually be open for business is still speculative.

If it's not open, however, you can always saunter across the street and scope out the rock 'n' roll oddities and vintage wares at Robot Monster and then skip back over, with a six-pack, and check out the bands who begin just as Robot Monster will be closing for the day.
