The fast-living leader of England's rock 'n' roll heavyweights Motörhead died on December 26, two days after his birthday.
What was originally stated as a death from cancer has now been reported to have specifically been prostate cancer, cardiac arrhythmia and congestive heart failure, according to TMZ. In short: over 50 years of hard-living badass-ery.
As reported by Rolling Stone, Lemmy received a brain scan after friends noticed he was slurring his words and having trouble with his speech. The doctors found cancer in his neck and brain, indicating the severity and spreading of the disease throughout his body. Lemmy was then told that he had between two and six months live. Less than a week later he was dead.
