Let's Trip, BB: Acid Mothers Temple are Coming to San Antonio

In a 2013 review of Acid Mothers Temple playing at Psych Fest in Austin, Current contributor and local musician Marc Smith described the Japanese psych veterans’ performance as “experimental heavy psych metal,” “stellar musicianship,” and a combination of “The Grateful Dead and early Metallica in the afterlife.”

Damn.

I was on way too many drugs that year to really remember anything except moments of the Growlers and The Black Angels swirling audiences into infinity rainbows (sorry mom).

With Smith’s experience in several local psychedelic projects including Creatura, Mockingbird Express, and Shiva’s Medicine Chest, we can trust him to say that when Acid Mothers Temple return to Texas for a show right here in the Alamo City next year, we may not need to be on any, ahem, live music watching enhancements to go on a trip.
