The eight-fingered ol' lump of coal has become the diamond of a songwriter that he once proclaimed he'd be. He sure had some pressure on him over his 76 years on this Earth. Shaver has seen and done more hellraisin' than a bad grape in an Al Qaeda brothel.
High on the success of 2014's Long in the Tooth, a record heralded by Shaver and critics as his best ever, BJS will be swinging back through San Antonio and playing Sam's Burger Joint on Saturday, March 26. Sam's is an excellent venue for the honky tonk hero; a small enough establishment to allow for a particularly intimate performance, but not too small to not let the riff, and a little of the raff, in.
Tickets are currently on sale for $15-$70 and can be purchased from the venue or here. The show starts at 8pm.
