A body was floating in San Antonio River today in the heart of the River Walk.

The body of a 54-year-old man was found by a maintenance crew around 9:30 this morning, KSAT reported. The police closed off the 100 block of Crockett Street in order to remove it.

Police Chief McManus said that there was no sign of foul play and that there was nothing for us to worry about. They know who the man was and have a good idea of how he died. Nothing to worry about, nothing to see here.

But this isn't the only time it's happened recently. It's not even the only time it's happened this year. I'm not saying there's a trend, but it's just weird that it keeps happening in one of the most popular places in San Antonio and nobody is around to see it. It just goes to show that just because you're in the most visible of places doesn't mean you're the most safe.
