Ten years ago, Foster was sentenced to death for murdering Michael LaHood Jr., son of a prominent local attorney. To be accurate, Foster didn't actually murder the 25-year-old. He was only driving the car that Mauriceo Brown got out of before Brown shot LaHood. Foster was convicted under Texas's "Law of Parties."
Foster's also becoming a presence on the continental European hip-hop circuit, by proxy of Rotterdam lyricist Jav'lin. Her latest single "Walk With Me" chronicles Foster's involvement in the shooting, his struggles to prove his innocence, and his long-distance relationship with his now-11-year-old daughter. The music video, starring an actor playing Foster, has already crossed the border into Belgium (when you think Belgium, you think waffles and Jean Claude Van Damme), where it's screening on their equivalent of MTV, Jim TV.
Without further ado ... we present, "Walk With Me."
And yes, that is KSAT-12's Mark Austin in the opening.
