Houston-based rock trio Sky Blue 72 consists of siblings Jessica (vocals, drums) and Frank Zweback (bass, vocals) and honorary sibling Davis Jumper (guitar, vocals). Female drummers are a rare find, but a female drummer that doubles as the lead vocalist? That’s almost unprecedented. The band was born in 2003 when Jessica won the Houston Press award for Best Female Vocalist while she was singing for Frank’s funk project Zwee, and the two decided to start writing songs together. Sky Blue 72 is currently on tour in support of their much-anticipated full-length album, Feel My Way Home. Also on the bill is Agents of the Sun. $8. 8 p.m., Sam’s Burger Joint, 330 E. Grayson.
