City '36: Tell us what San Antonio will look like 25 years from now

Cisneros had his Target 90.

Little Julián has SA2020.

But at the Current we’re giving you something even better: City ’36!

In celebration of our 25th Anniversary this year, we’re publishing a special issue chronicling San Anto's greatest hits since that fateful day in 1986 that the Current set up shop. But we need your help forecasting the road ahead.

In the tradition of our Flash Fiction blog, we’re asking readers to tell us what San Antonio will look like 25 years from now — the year 2036 —in 500 words or less. (Artists: we’re also keen on seeing some illustrations!)

We’ll be sharing some of the most inventive/interesting/wacko submissions online with readers in the weeks to come. Then we'll include the very best we get in the pages of that June 1 special issue.

So, get out there are read to some kids at the library, vote in the upcoming election, but NOT BEFORE YOU DIVINE OUR FUTURE!

It's City ’36. Tell us about it.

Send submissions before May 27 to [email protected].
