Making its world premiere at the Overtime on Friday is Sharon Argo’s new drama Frames, which according to director Morgan Scharff, “isn’t heavily plotted.” Described as a “collection of scenes,” Frames explores the human condition, focusing sharply on the role memory plays in our lives. Set in an Alzheimer’s ward (a slight change of scenery for a company that’s been combing the galaxy for an ancient alien artifact in the “serialized space comedy” Captain Cortez and the Tri-Lambda Brigade), Frames aims to “embody the heartache and joy of lost memories elicited by sounds and songs from the different characters’ pasts and personal experiences.” $9-$12, 8pm Fri, Apr 8 and Sat, Apr 9, The Overtime Theater, 1414 S Alamo, (210) 557-7562, theovertimetheater.org.
