People-watching is generally a crappy reason to go to a concert, but, man oh man, if you can swing the $10 admission, Scout Bar is the place to be Friday night. That’s when Guns 4 Roses and Blaze of Glory — G’N’R and Bon Jovi tribute bands, respectively — take the stage, a line-up that’s sure to draw equal numbers of neon- tight-clad teased-haired 20ish hipsters and people old enough to be those pencil-necks’ parents wearing the exact same thing with absolutely no sense of irony whatsoever. When Scout Bar runs out of PBR the place’ll be a powder keg, one snarky eye- roll away from an all-out age war, and Generation Meh’s gonna get welcomed to the jungle for real. There will be music, too, at least until the smart phones start flying. Guns 4 Roses, for their part, claim to be “the ultimate Guns n’ Roses tribute experience,” and they’ve got the wigs and Slash hat to prove it, though our money’s still on Austin’s all-female Paradise Titty. We haven’t heard (and honestly have no de- sire to listen to) Blaze of Glory, but we’re willing to bet that they’re better than Bon Jovi, by sheer virtue of not actually being Bon Jovi. And kids, take note: That’s exactly the sort of comment that’ll get your ass kicked. $10, 8pm Fri, Jul 9, Scout Bar 19314 U.S. Hwy. 281 N., (210) 494-7700, scoutbarsa.com
