A survey regarding HemisFair renovations, specifically concerning programming of the northwest corner civic park, was released Wednesday for the community to have an opportunity to share their opinion on the plans to remodel.

The idea for HemisFair is to turn the space into a recognizable and inviting urban park for residents and visitors to enjoy.

New designs for the park include several unique areas with art, culture and entertainment being the focus in each section. The space will stretch over about 10 acres from S. Alamo and Market streets to the older portion of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The part of the Convention Center being used will be vacated by 2016 to be included in the park’s renovation.

The survey calls on the public to help identify what features and amenities need to be emphasized most within each area and what popular themes and designs would best benefit the park.

Survey results for will be collected from now until September 12.  Take it here.
