We're all geared up to hear some banjo this week with folksy bluegrassers Jeannette & Richard, scheduled to play tonight (Friday) at Limelight. Also on the bill are Austin's One Hundred Flowers and locals Cartographers, who'll be celebrating the release of their new CD. Admission is $5.
Check out Jeannette & Richard in the video above performing "Another Sad Song," which dares to challenge Steve Martin's assertion that you can't play a depressing song on the banjo. I just hope they don't play "Rainbow Connection" or I'll be openly weeping. Jim Henson, you were far too beautiful for this world.
