Around 6:40 p.m., firefighters received a call about a fire at Cuevas Piñatas, located at 1335 Culebra Road. Reports say heavy smoke was seen coming out from the front of the building, causing firefighters to work harder to get inside.
No one was injured in the fire, but the blaze will allegedly come at a big cost to the shop owners. Safety officials told KSAT that the owner claimed to have just stocked up on more than $1 million worth of merchandise. While the building is insured, the merchandise is not. According to officials, products that weren't burned were damaged by smoke and water.
