A small San Antonio start-up is getting some big-time press.

Blue Star Coloring, which is based in SA, but also has has an office in Portland, Oregon, was included in a USA Today feature story Monday about adult coloring, a huge trend this year.

Adults have taken to coloring for stress relief and fun.

Gabe Coeli, Portland-based creative director, told the newspaper that Blue Star Coloring first realized the stress-relief benefits of coloring when a partner's wife, who was a doctor, reported that she and her colleagues were coloring at work to take the edge off.

"I am proud to say that we were the first coloring book outfit to tout the benefit of stress relief," Coeli told USA Today.

With the explosion of popularity in adult coloring books — even crazy Senator Ted Cruz from Texas has one — Blue Star Coloring has been featured nationally by the likes of BuzzFeed, CNN and Time.

So if you haven't heard about adult coloring, hop over to Blue Star Coloring and check out the SA-based startup that's putting the colored pencils back in the hands of grown-ups.
