Austin’s Terri Hendrix plays her annual Thanksgiving Holiday Show at Floore’s, this year as a follow up to her ninth album, released in late September. Hendrix has never been one to back into a genre corner, and The Spiritual Kind proves no different. Stylistically it’s all over the map, jumping deftly from folk and pop to blues and swinging jazz — there doesn’t seem to be a format she’s uncomfortable with. And, the free-range eclecticism of her live shows appeals to both young and old. This year, Hendrix and long-time mentor Lloyd Maines criss-crossed the country, sharing dates with David Bromberg, Indigo Girls, Nancy Griffith, and Judy Collins, while playing numerous festivals and concerts. Texas songwriter Adam Carroll opens Friday’s show. $12/15, 8:30pm, Floore’s Country Store, 14492 Old Bandera Rd., (210) 695-8827.
