The UTSA Satellite Space All Ladies Video Review

Release Date: 2008-12-31

The first of January is rough for many of us; woozy, miasmic, gastrointestinally indeterminate, and wincingly suffused with night-before regrets. A day of TV-watching’s no oasis, either, punctuated as it is by those manipulative and annoying fitness-and diet-related commercials. You know what might cheer you up? The UTSA Satellite Space All Ladies Video Review. Curated by Cornelia White Swann and Potter Belmar Labs’ Leslie Raymond, the imagefest features the video works of some of SA’s most noted artists, including painter Joey Fauerso, Julia Barbosa Landois (whose performance art piece, Veiled in Flesh, you may have seen earlier this year at Cactus Bra), Fulbrighter Karen Mahaffy, Three Walls director Michele Monseau, recent Artpace resident Anne Wallace, and Say Sí’s Guillermina Zabala. Opening reception: 6-9 p.m. January 1. Noon-6 p.m. Fri-Sun, and by appointment. Through January 25.
(210) 212-7146.
