Catherine Pisano may not have won the Rock 'N' Roll marathon on Sunday, but she did receive a heart-warming proposal from her boyfriend (spoiler alert: now her fiancé – she said yes).
Brian Picard flew in from Oklahoma to ask Pisano, his girlfriend, to marry him as she neared the end of the marathon here in San Antonio. The couple has known each other for years after meeting at work, according to KSAT, but began dating in April.
Pisano decided to spend her birthday weekend running the race, since well, she's an avid runner. Picard knew it was the perfect time to pop the question, with help from some friends, that is.
Pisano's best friend helped with the proposal, as did a few people cheering on the runners. Three strangers held signs that read "Hey Piscano" "Will you" "Marry me?," which obviously caused other spectators to record the sweet moment on their phones.
And because Pisano is an avid runner, she wasn't paying attention to the sidelines. That is, until her best friend told her to look up, which was when she noticed Picard down on one knee.
Que cute!
She was obviously shocked but soon hugged and said yes to her boo. I mean, how could she not?
