UTSA Quarterback Retires from Football, Cites Concussions

Putting health before sports is always a wise decision.

University of Texas at San Antonio quarterback Blake Bogenschutz announced on social media Tuesday that he's calling it quits on the advice of a doctor.

His reason? Concussions. 

Bogenschutz says he has had his fair share, and that his present and long-term health are more important than the game he loves. 

"This has been one of the toughest situations, if not the toughest, that I have encountered over the course of my life," he wrote.

The Roadrunner received an outpour of support on social media after he announced his decision.
