Gina Ortiz Jones is running against U.S. Rep. Will Hurd in what could be one of the nation's costliest races.
Anyone who follows politics will tell you Labor Day is when political campaigns get real.
Until then, the primary goals are building a volunteer base and raking in donations. But here through election day, the politicos' focus is on dragging you to the polls, and that means buying a shitload of ads.
With some of the nation's highest-profile midterm races in our backyard, prepare to get blanketed, San Antonio.
Those spots with Democratic Senate aspirant Beto O'Rourke smiling at you from the window of his Toyota Tundra? Expect a whole lot more.
It's also a sure bet attack ads from his challenger, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, are in the offing. Last month, the Texas GOP began running an ad showing O'Rourke's DUI mugshot, so the mud is sure to get even deeper and stickier.
And if you're already a growing weary of the video slugfest between Republican U.S. Rep. Will Hurd and Democratic challenger Gina Ortiz Jones, brace yourself. It's only gonna get worse. Dems are targeting Hurd's seat as they look to flip control of the House.
Good thing for Hulu.
