The wait is over. You can start planning your schedule for the Austin City Limits Music Festival which takes place at Zilker Park. This year, the festival is taking a cue from other festivals such as Coachella, spreading the music into two weekends, October 4-6 and October 11-13. The majority of the bands will play both weekends, while some time slots will vary from Weekend One to Weekend Two to allow for more local and emerging acts to shine. Both weekends will be headlined by Depeche Mode (pictured) and Muse (Fridays), The Cure and Kings of Leon (Saturdays), and Atoms for Peace and Lionel Richie (Sundays).

As usual, the lineup is diverse and deep and includes some head-shaking, flip-a-coin, split-the-difference time conflicts. Okkervil River and The Black Angels battle it out for hometown supremacy on Fridays, and Saturdays pit Portugal. The Man against True Believers and Silversun Pickups, all playing at 4 p.m. Instead of groaning about the overlap it’s best to enjoy the embarrassment of riches because, no matter which stage you end up at, it’s going to be a good one.

My must-sees this year include Savages (1pm-2pm at Honda Stage), Smith Westerns (3pm-4pm Honda), Vampire Weekend (6pm-7pm, AMD), and Arctic Monkeys (6:30pm-7:30pm Skyline), all playing on Friday. On Saturday I’ll be checking out up-and-comers Haim (2pm-3pm, AMD) and Grimes (5pm-6pm, Honda), then rushing with everyone else to see Wilco (6pm-7pm, Skyline), and closing it out with Kendrick Lamar (7pm-8pm Honda) and The Cure (8pm-10pm, AMD). If I can get up early enough on Sunday, I’ll be seeing what MS MR has to offer (12pm-12:45pm, AMD). Sunday also brings some of my personal favorites: The National (5:30pm-6:30pm, AMD) and Phoenix (7pm-8:30pm, Barton Springs). If you ask me—these two bands alone are worth the price of admission for their headline-worthy sets.

Check out the full schedule here.

Weekend One (Oct. 4-6) is sold out, but tickets for Weekend Two (Oct. 11-13) are still available here.
