Queens of the Stone Age Coming to the Majestic 2/10

Queens of the Stone Age, recently nominated to three Grammy Awards (Best Rock Album & Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, for

Like Clockwork, and Best Rock Performance for “My God Is The Sun”), will perform at the Majestic Theatre on February 10, 2014, with Chelsea Wolfe as the opening act. Presale begins on Friday, December 13 at noon (click here), but Citi Private Pass pre-sales begin Wednesday, December 11 at 10 a.m. local time (click here).

Win or lose the Grammy race (results will be announced January 26), the name of the tour, Victory Lap 2014, could not be more appropriate—the band has had a fantastic year, earning rave reviews for

Like Clockwork and being chosen as the sixth best album of the year by Rolling Stone.

“[Frontman Josh] Homme [pictured above] combines menacing riffs and glammy refinement, sounding like Bowie reborn as a winking dark lord of the underworld,” wrote RS. “The king of Queens still has the best hard-rock falsetto of his generation.”

The tour starts January 30 in Raleigh, NC, and ends February 13 in Las Vegas. Houston (February 9), San Antonio and El Paso (February 11) are the only Texan cities on the tour.

With the last three, the band has already earned seven Grammy nominations. Will 2014 be the year when they finally win?
