Exploding out the speakers into your eardrums is Soundgarden’s newest release, Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path. Echo is a compilation comprised of B-sides, rarities and live songs, taking the band on another leap into Grunge god-dom. Every song on this three-disk set has a diverse blend of familiar and unfamiliar songs with some of their heaviest and lyrically gifted songs.

The first CD is a set of original songs, the second CD has covers and the third collection includes “oddities.” With Songs like “Cold Bitch” and “Toy Box,” showcase Cornell’s vocal ability to stand amongst the greats of Plant, Halford, Mercury and others. The second CD puts emphasis on this bands ability to shift to different styles as they cover songs from Howlin’ Wolf’s “Smokestack Lightning” to the Rolling Stone’s “Stray Cat Blues.” The final set of enjoyment are the “oddities.” Most of these songs are instrumental, exposing the band’s musicianship.

These songs are a perfect collection of the bands history through B-sides . Get lost of the hypnotizing vocals, sludgy riffs, groovy bass lines and heavy pounding drums in Soundgarden's latest installment, a must-have for diehard fans of the seminal grunge band.
