It takes guts to release a Christmas carol. Perhaps less when you're a platinum-certified artist and you know people like myself feed their families by sharing the link to the seasonal ditty proffering for clicks and attention, nevertheless, it's a precarious step. Of course, there's always the Bing Crosbys, Mariah Careys and Nat King Coles, who were born to slather the airwaves with their smooth-as-nog croons of glad tidings and holiday cheer, but Fetty Wap just isn't on that level.

Nevertheless, he has released a sincere Christmas jam with his Zoo Gang homie Monty, and it's really not that bad. He sounds sincere. I'll leave it up to you to decide if this one belongs in the Hallmark section of evergreen Christmas tunes, alongside Cole's "The Christmas Song," Crosby's "White Christmas" or Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You," or if it belongs in the regift pile with Twisted Sister's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," Carnie and Wendy Wilson's "Hey Santa," or Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime."

As an additional gift from Fetty to his fans, he has also announced his upcoming tour dates and will play the Aztec Theatre on Saturday, March 12.
