If  bluesy rock 'n' roll still exists, Marcia Ball, with so-good-she-must've-sold-her-soul piano playin' skills, is the epitome of the dying breed.

Born in Texas and raised in the culturally-rich swamp lands of Louisiana, Ball's been active since 1970, and she hasn't aged a day. Her jaunty, swamp rock piano expertise and never-shy, bold-on-character vocals cement her legend as the reigning queen of a rollicking R&B–New Orleans/Austin style.

In support of her 2014 Alligator Records distributed album, The Tattooed Lady & The Alligator Man, multi-award-winning Ball will perform at Sam's Burger Joint Friday, February 26 with Carolyn Wonderland and Shelley King. $20, 9pm, Sam's Burger Joint, 330 E. Grayson St., (210) 223-2830
