Tickets for the tour which will feature songs and hits off of multi-platinum records Slide It In, Whitesnake (1987) and Slip of the Tongue, go on sale Friday, February 26 at 10 a.m. They cost $39.50 to the appropriately-price $69.50 and are available at the theatre box office, by calling (800) 745-3000 or The concert will take place Monday, June 6 at 8 p.m.

The former frontman of Deep Purple, David Coverdale, began his hair metal fantasy group, complete with permed lingerie models for wives and videos of white ... snakes and Jaguars with said permed lingerie models astride their hoods, in 1978. The group originally continued in a similar blues rock vein to DP but struck it big with the commercially-viable Slide It In (1984) – the sound of crunching leather and the hiss of a hairspray can blocked out any chance of Coverdale returning to a less-marketable medium.

In the press release for the tour, Coverdale stated that this tour is "most likely my personal 'Farewell to Arena Rock.'" So, for those that can dig a sound from a guy that once combined Jimmy Page and acid wash, and I can, bust out the denim and meet me at the Majestic. Bring your mom.
