Austin's Sound on Sound Fest Announces Inaugural Lineup Feat. Beach House, Young Thug, Run The Jewels

Posted By on Tue, Jun 28, 2016 at 12:25 PM

Margin Walker Presents announced the lineup to the first Sound on Sound Fest, in McDade, Texas on November 4 through November 6. Just outside of Austin, the headliners include Beach House, Big Boi, Phantogram, Run The Jewels, Thee Oh Sees, Thundercat, Young Thug and a slew of hip-hop, pop and punk acts.

For those unfamiliar with the inside game of music booking in Texas, the festival's bill, style and "Treat Thy Self" passes bare an uncanny resemblance to Fun Fun Fun Fest held in Austin for the past 10 years. Graham Walker, founder of Transmission Entertainment — formerly responsible for booking at Fun Fun Fun and SA's Paper Tiger, among others — left the company to found booking agency Margin Walker Presents.

Though Sound on Sound has not confirmed if FFF will continue at Austin's Vic Mathias Shores, the new festival will be held at the Sherwood Forest Faire in McDade, trying out the you-can-camp-if-you-want-to style of festival. A three-day pass costs $169 before tax.
