Updated 12:35 pm Friday:
San Antonio Police Department told KENS 5 that a Good Samaritan returned the guitar after finding it discarded on the River Walk. Talk about disrespectful.

Original story 11:33 am Friday:
That was a close one.

Hard Rock Cafe has said that “Frankenstrat,” the stolen Eddie Van Halen guitar which was valued at more than $100,000, was found and returned to the restaurant.

No information has been given to how it was re-acquired or if arrests were made. But, all we know is a piece of rock ‘n’ roll history has been safely brought home and we can "Dance The Night Away."
