While we pretty much live for all things Selena, focusing on our beloved Latina pop star’s death isn’t really something we like to look at. Even though it’s obvious Quintanilla is no longer with us in physical form, her spirit seems to always be with us through her music, fan art, and musical tributes.

Airing on Reelz this Saturday at 8pm, the “fact-based crime documentary series” Murder Made Me Famous will air an episode exploring the reasons why Yolanda Saldivar (I CAN’T EVEN TYPE HER NAME WITHOUT WHISPERING CURSES UPON HER) decided to take Selena away from us on that dark day on March 31, 1995 at a Days Inn motel in Corpus Christi.

“I feel so grateful to be able to play this role,” said Amanda Solis, the actress portraying the Queen of Tejano, in a Facebook video for the episode (who actually has portrayed the Selena before and sings a pretty damn good cover of the singer’s song “¿Qué Creías?"). “When I was growing up, I listened to [Selena’s] music and I grew up knowing who she was, and for me to be here and to be able to play this icon is – I’m speechless.”

I mean, we’ll probably watch it because, anything for Selenas, pero like we might close our eyes during the actual murder scene. I don't know if our hearts can take it.
