Brought you to by the same folks behind psychedelic music festival Psych Del Rio, Glenn and Gem Hotvet of K23 have outdone themselves again:
Dead Meadow is coming to San Antonio and we’re pretty fucking ecstatic.

Formed in 1998 in Washington D.C. from the remnants of other DC bands The Impossible Five and Colour, Dead Meadow combined ’70s heavy metal with ’60s psychedelic rock and explored J.R.R. Tolkien and H.P. Lovecraft. Their music is heavy, spacey and probably some of the best psychedelic rock out there, which is sort of saying a lot considering there’s a million psych-rock bands in the industry.

The D.C. band will be joined by local San Antonio psychedelic rockers True Indigo, who have been making a name for themselves in the region the last couple of years.

With Afghan Whigs and Built To Spill slated for a tour that hits the Alamo City in May, and Fleet Foxes gearing up for an appearance not three days later, we’re likely about to get our indie music fix this year.

$12-$15, Tuesday, March 6, 7pm, Period Modern, 4347 McCullough Ave. Tickets may be purchased online.
