On Sunday, September 16, join CultureMap SA and Uptown Latino to celebrate Mexican Independence Day at the Aztec Theatre with an evening boasting some of the best local and regional talent featuring Siempre Selena – a tribute to Selena y Los Dinos, “Queen of the Accordion” and Conjunto legend Eva Ybarra, and Chulita Vinyl Club – an all female, all-vinyl DJ collective spinning an eclectic mix showcasing Latin culture.

In addition to the music, the evening features sampling by Cerveceria Minerva, an independent brewery based in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico since 2002. The brewery recently began importing their Dorada de Guadalajara (a crisp golden ale) to the U.S. for the first time. The product is currently only available in San Antonio and Los Angeles.

Local printing and apparel company, Printed Apparel will also be onsite live screen printing t-shirts with the event poster designed by artist, Ray “Tattooedboy” Scarborough. There will also be a surprise for a few lucky guests, courtesy of Culturemap SA and the Aztec Theatre.

Tickets ($18) available now and can be purchased here.
