There’s a lot to love about this week’s Kinks and Drinks event, going down at El Luchador.

To kick things off, get there early for a titillating interactive trivia game, described as “trivia for sexually woke people.” The goal of the game is not only entertainment but also raising awareness/dialogue around issues related to sex (health and pleasure), kinks, HIV/AIDS and communication.

Following the trivia, there will be a concert featuring a diverse selection of local acts, including Vonna (DIY indie pop), Pink Leche (electronic/bass heavy) and Clee (sexually charged hip-hop). Full disclosure: Current music writer Chris Conde will also perform.

Overall, Kinks and Drinks promises to be as enlightening as it is fun. If you wish to participate in the trivia portion of the evening, make sure you RSVP at eventbrite.com.

Free, Thur Sept 20, 7pm, El Luchador, 622 Roosevelt, (210) 272-0016, facebook.com/luchadorbarsa.
