The biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history, earning four Grammys and fifteen career nominations, “Weird Al” Yankovic is basically a walking meme.

If you didn't already know, he is best known for his hilariously irreverent parodies of hit songs, including “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Amish Paradise,” and “White and Nerdy,” and he just announced his 2019 Strings Attached Tour.

According to a recent press release, we can anticipate the performance to be “a high-energy, rock and comedy show featuring costumes, props, a video wall, and – for the first time – a full orchestra.”

Contrast to 2018’s Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, which was more of an intimate, scaled-down show that showcased a rotating setlist of semi-obscure, deep-cut, non-parody album tracks, 2019 Strings Attached Tour is said to showcase Yankovic's hits and classics – but this time his band will be supported every night by background singers and an entire symphony orchestra – which actually sounds pretty amazing.

“I wanted to follow up my most bare-bones tour ever with my most elaborate and extravagant tour ever,” Yankovic said in a press release. “We’re pulling out all the stops for this one.”

The tour includes a stop at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio on June 16, 2019.

Tickets ($39.50 - $89.50) go on sale Friday, November 16 at 10am and will be available at the Majestic Theatre Box Office, online at ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 800.745.3000. All tickets subject to applicable service charges and fees. VIP packages will also be available.
