Probably best known for his stint in Marilyn Manson, John William Lowery has been making a name for himself under the moniker John 5 for well over a decade now. Since departing Marilyn Manson, Lowery has found a home in another spooky frontman’s band, Rob Zombie, where he’s played guitar since 2006. On top of contributing to the rock star/horror director’s band, Lowery has also released an impressive eight instrumental albums of solo work, which at points sounds like a revamped Steve Vai (who appears on a John 5’s track “Perineum”), a sort of prog-rocky nu-metal punctuated by intense guitar solos.

Lowery is headed back to S.A. with a new album titled Invasion for a show at the Rock Box on Saturday March 2, 2019.

"Get ready for the Invasion tour!” Lowery exclaimed in a press release. “We will be playing some songs from my new record, Invasion, a brand new medley, and much more. I'm really excited to have Jared James Nichols out with us. This tour is something you're not going to want to miss!"
