Hailing from Houston, indie pop BB’s Wild Moccasins are arguably one of the best bands to come out out of Bayou City in a minute. That’s sort of saying something considering how dense Houston’s music scene is.

And they're coming to Paper Tiger this month.

With pop melodies that swirl over rock ‘n’ roll textures reminiscent of '80s pop and post-punk in the vein of The Smiths and Joy Division, Zahira Gutierrez, Cody Swann, Nicholas Cody, and Avery Davis have managed to harness vintage sensibilities to create a sound that is very right now.

Also on the bill is Dega and San Antonio’s own Survival Guide, fronted by former Tsunami Bomb vocalist Emily Whitehurst, who creates danceable indie pop with the faintest whisper of pop-punk punctuations.

$12, Fri Jan. 18, 8pm, Paper Tiger, 2410, N. St. Mary’s St., papertigersatx.com.
