You'd think Waffle House would be down with a 450 pound rapper named Jelly Roll posting a photo of himself in front of the famous chain and using it for his mixtape.

They weren’t.

In fact, after a cease-and-desist letter and more legal squabbles, the whole incident left the rapper $10,000 in the hole.

Regardless of his legal relationships with beloved breakfast joints, the rapper has emerged as a beacon of talent in the Southern rap scene and happens to be hitting San Antonio for a show at Paper Tiger on Monday, June 10.

Jelly Roll, who's also dropped 180 pounds as of 2017, has an amazing way of telling stories through his lyrics while maintaining a flow in the vein of artists like UGK, 8ball and Chamillionaire. If you dig solid hip-hop with lyrics talking about real-life shit, this may be the dude you're looking for.

Tickets ($18) are on sale Friday, May 31 and can be purchased at papertigersatx.com.
