The Robert Glasper Experiment
Pianist Robert Glasper couldn’t have picked a better title for his Black Radio series; listening through the pair of albums is like tuning into some imaginary and glorious late-night station versed in the essentials of African-American music, from Fats Waller to Parliament and J Dilla. After Don Cheadle picked Glasper to soundtrack the bio-fiction feature Miles Ahead, the 38-year-old will drop Everything’s Beautiful, a reimagining of the Miles Davis songbook, on May 27.
