Creative Creatures’ quarterly event takes a ride into the dark side with The Conjuring: An Appreciation Party. Inspired by la superstición Mexicana, the event features live music (Fishbrain, The Lost Project, Sons of Bitches, Lonely Horse), DJs (Racey Roller, Sloppy Scotty, Texas Spinbyrd) and the work of more than 40 creators. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Eddy Rios (Tri-Circle Designs) and Karen G. Rios (Pointe & Chute) in January 2014, Creative Creatures was “established in an effort to fuse the San Antonio (and surrounding area’s) art and music community in a fluid way that would break certain molds.” $3, 9pm-2am Fri, The Phantom Room, 2114 N. St. Mary’s St., RSVP required at — Murphi Cook
