San Pedro Springs Park

This particular park, although only a 2.1 mile segment of Salado Creek Greenway, epitomizes finding beauty in the little things takes a more quiet, serene approach to park personality. As opposed to the playground scene, Tobin park accommodates bikers and strollers as there is a narrow paved path that weaves through the abundance of trees and wildlife. This is the ideal spot for disconnecting, taking things slow, or even perhaps capturing essence of natural tranquility through a camera lens.

Nani Falcone Community Park

Nani Falcone Community Park is a concrete jungle--jungle gym that is--surrounded by vast amount of trees and complemented by amenities that you won’t find just anywhere. Unlike most parks, this one offers a disc golf course open to the public as well as a skatepark where beginners and avid boarders alike can enjoy the great outdoors. Nani Falcone also has pavilions that are shaded and ready to go for a nice picnic or even a celebration if coordinated in advance.

Phil Hardberger Park

Phil Hardberger Park has set the bar exceptionally high for fellow parks in the San Antonio area as its development and accomplishments continue to flourish. Since 2006, this park has transformed from 300 acres of land into a beautiful ecology center, an East and West park, a Salado Creek classroom dedicated to public education and events, and strives to accomplish future goals set by their Conservancy. From trails and fields to play grounds and sports courts, Hardberger park is a pleasant, scenic experience for anyone with an appreciation for the good ole outdoors.

Comanche Lookout Park

Trees, trails and...towers? Comanche Lookout Park holds true to its historical roots as a lookout tower is perched at the top of a hill where Native Americans used the height as a vantage point for hunting and warfare. The tower was constructed by a previous park owner with the intentions of it resembling a medieval castle, however, the owner passed away prior to seeing out the rest of the project. Now, in 2016 the tower remains tall and proud, ready to be admired as trails from every surrounding direction lead to the top of this hill.
