Abby
"Hi, I’m Abby! Yes, I know I have unique and super cool eyes. Besides having cool eyes, I’m also an incredibly friendly and playful gal! I’m searching for a person who’ll enjoy having fun me around. Would you like to be my friend? Please, say yes! Come see my personality sparkle and shine in person!"
Gizzie
"Hi there! I’m an incredibly sweet and loving girl that wants nothing more than your love. I sometimes have playful bursts of energy because I always want to have fun, especially when people are around! I also enjoy relaxing and sleeping for hours. I’m a smart gal too! I know how to sit, shake, and do so much more. When you visit me, I may be barking at you in my kennel, but please ask to take me out so you can see my true personality shine! And according to staff around here, I make the most adorable funny faces. How about you come by and I’ll show you? I’m sure I’ll make you smile!"
Smitty
"Hello! I’m Smitty and I am a rather shy guy. Everyone keeps telling me that I’m a handsome boy and I hope you think so too! I’m a little more robust than I should be and that’s why I’m trying to get down to a healthy weight. I hope my future family will help me on my weight loss journey. Ideally, I would like someone who’ll feed me a good diet and enjoy playtime with me. A laser pointer, cat nip, and a cat wand with feathers might help get me moving. Even though I’m a shy kitty, I’d still love to meet you! Come by the Paul Jolly and let’s meet soon because I’d much rather finish out my weight loss journey in a loving home with you."
Salt
"Hello! I’m Salt. I’m a very affectionate gal when I’m not hiding. I enjoy the company of other cats and find I do best when given a companion! Once I warm up to you, I’ll provide the best cuddle! Will you cuddle with me?!"
Charles
"Hi, I’m Charles! I’ll probably try to charm you with my playful personality and my friendly attitude. I enjoy going for walks and playing with toys but I will have to take it easy due to a healing fracture in my leg. I’m a good boy who gets along with everyone including dogs too. I’d love a home where I can lounge around with my best friend. I hope you give me a chance to meet you! Maybe we can become best friends?"
Lauralai
"Hi there! I’m Lauralai! I’m a bit of an older gal but don’t let that fool ya! I still have the energy of a young lady who enjoys playing, exploring, and going on outdoor adventures. Along with my energy, I have a lot of love to give! I’m sure that I’ll keep you smiling with my silly antics. Please give a playful doggy like me a chance to be your furry best friend!"
Casper
"Hi, I’m Casper the friendly cat! I’m very affectionate and love cuddling up to new friends. I’m pretty active too and love a good climbing tree. But what do I really love? Treats! But what I would love even more is a forever home with you!"
Cho
"Hi, I’m Cho! Look into my eyes, don’t you think they are beautiful? I hope they convince you to come meet me! I am a quiet kitty who tends to keep to myself in the cattery. I’m not a social butterfly but wish I could be! I’m just shy and will need some time to get to know new people. I hope someone will be willing to give me that chance to get to know them. Will you give me that chance?"
Phillip
"Hi, I’m Phillip! I’m a friendly, calm, and gentle dog. I have great leash walking skills and enjoy taking strolls alongside people. Will you be one of those people I can go on a stroll with? Maybe we can become best buds!"
Buddy
"The first thing you’ll notice about me when we meet would be that I very much love to play and run. You’ll be able to see me wiggling my butt with excitement because I’m out and about with some new human pals. We need to hang out and go out for long walks around the city and all the parks. We will become the best of buddies!"

Nala
"Hi, I’m Nala! I’m what they call an oldie but goodie and I definitely have a lot of good in my heart. I’m a loving, calm, affectionate kitty who loves attention and meeting new people. I especially love head rubs and chin rubs which I’ll make sure to get from you. This is my third time at ADL but last time I was here, I was a much younger gal. It was actually ten years ago to be exact. Sometimes things don’t work out for the best and so here I am again. I’m hopeful someone will come by soon and make me their forever companion. I’m a lovable kitty who treats everyone like they’re my best friend and I hope you’ll be the one to make me your best friend too and take me home with you!"
Dudley
"Some of us kitties just need a little more time to adjust and I’m one of them. When I first came to ADL in February, I was so scared and always hiding. Now that I’m more familiar with this place, I’ve really started to break out of my shell. I can often be found laying in the same cat bed being my lazy self. I let people approach me and don’t run away anymore. I sometimes rub my body on people’s legs too. However, I will admit, I can be a grouch sometimes! Please don’t expect me to always be ready for petting time. I’ll let you pet me when I’m in the mood but I’ll also let you know with a swat of my paw that I’m done with receiving attention. If you’re totally fine with my occasional cattitude moments then please give me the chance to settle in a home with you!"
Voldebork
"Where do I begin to explain myself? I’m a strong, active, loving dog with a kind heart who gets along with most dogs and people. I was found on a college campus, obviously a stray but soaking up all the attention I could get. A kind lady took me home and tried to find my owner but had no luck. With a house full of family and dogs, she couldn’t keep me though everyone there had fallen in love with me, so they brought me here. She left a letter all about me for the lucky family that adopts me. I hope it says good things! I have a feeling it does, because I’ve seen people cry when they read it. Take me home and you can read it too."
Chowder
"Oh hi there! I’m the handsome Chowder! You know what I really enjoy? Going outside for walks! I love to sniff, sniff, sniff everything while I’m out exploring. Oh and I absolutely love getting all the attention! Let’s meet soon so that you can see what a friendly cool dude I am."
Neil
"Hi, I’m Neil! I’m a nice guy who you’ll probably find snoozing in a high spot in the cattery here. I usually mind my own business but if you come over to say hello to me, I’ll perk up and come over to you too. You’ll notice that I have a part of my tail missing. What happened there? Well, when I cam to ADL, my tail was broken and the best thing for me was to have part of it removed. Now I have this nubby tail which I like to think makes me more unique. Please visit me and let’s talk about making me your loving cat companion."
Triscuit
"You’ll probably need to ask the staff where to find me when you visit the cattery because I’m good at hiding. Why do I hide? Well, I’m a shy kitty and this environment is new to me. It’s hard to say why exactly I’m a shy kitty around here but that doesn’t mean that I’ll be the same in a home of my own. All I want is to move into a calm and peaceful home where I can take it easy with my human. If I can be given that chance, I’m sure my true personality will blossom!"
Genghis Khan
"I am strong and young and eager to go. I am not sure my name is right for me because I am a sweetie who just loves attention and am good with children as well as big people. I have to admit, though, that I consider other dogs to be the enemy that arouses my not so nice side. So I need a home where I can be the only dog. I promise you won’t regret it if you adopt me."
Darwin
"I’m a bit shy, but I think it’s just the situation, not the people. In fact, I look to humans for reassurance and feel comforted by their presence. I’m still a puppy with a lot to learn, but I walk well on the leash, and with a name like mine I must be very smart. I have a very cute curly tail and I would love to wag it at you. Please come visit, and after a little time to get used to you, I promise I will love you forever."
Kassie
"Hello, I am Kassie! A typical day for me is lounging around relaxing. I have a strong preference for a home without other cats. I’m the type of girl who prefers to have cat beds to myself. Even though having cat friend just isn’t my thing, I still wouldn’t mind living with people. As long as they spoil me and love me forever, then I’ll be happy!"
Socks
"Hi, I’m Socks! You can meet me in the phat camp of the cattery! I love to climb around up top and people watch. I’m a friendly gal who is looking for someone who wot’ mind me cat napping a lot. I would love to find a comfy home with someone soon! Please meet me so that we can get to know each other!"
