The Briscoe’s Native Film Series brings together three films highlighting diverse Native voices, perspectives and stories. The first feature film to be written, directed and co-produced by American Indians, 1998’s Smoke Signals follows a young man from Idaho’s Coeur d’Alene reservation on a journey to Phoenix to collect the ashes of the father that abandoned him when he was a boy.
