Vocalists from across the nation gather to perform for members of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán compete for the coveted title of Grand Champion vocalist.
The 27th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza National Vocal Competition is the largest and longest-running mariachi vocal competition in the world. Singers take command of the stage with their flawless song interpretations, talented vocals and stunning mariachi trajes for the coveted title of Grand Champion vocalist and a chance to open the Mariachi Vargas concert. Wristbands are required to attend this unique cultural event and are available online until November 27th or at the door the day of competition and include entrance into the National Group Competition, National Vocal Competition and High School Group Finals.
