Walker and Fierro blog for Twenty Something SA about the city’s evolving lifestyle and entertainment options.

In the past two years, San Antonio has welcomed three H&Ms to the most prominent malls in the city. While we enjoy shopping at trendy mainstream stores for deals and the hottest looks, Fiesta in San Antonio calls for a totally different aesthetic. From traditional floral prints to hot colors and stylish one-of-a-kind accessories, we're hitting up local stores all over town.

You know that show Project Runway? Anthony Ryan won Project Runway All Stars and went on to open his flagship store in San Antonio. Stone Oak, to be specific. While some designs are strictly Anthony Ryan, others are pulled based on his personal style, which reflects the boho, Free People look du jour. For Fiesta, we pulled a denim shirt dress with white embroidery topped with a black hat. This outfit is quick and easy to toss on, and you can keep the sun out of your eyes while you sip on your margarita at NIOSA. For night, a slightly more risqué look featuring a burnt orange, high-low skirt with a white top. Pair the top with a white undershirt, or maybe just a good bra — we're not here to judge! The down to earth atmosphere of the store makes for quite the pleasant shopping experience.

Fashion-forward women unite! Camilla Crown, located down the street from The Anthill, sells floral prints galore, colorful dresses and statement jewelry. For our Fiesta day look, we opted for a blue and white striped off-the-shoulder dress. The loose fit makes it flattering for all body types and the fringe necklace adds just the right amount of oomph. For night, a floral dress paired with a long, beaded necklace. This dress shows off just the right amount of skin. Also, if you're looking for two-piece outfits, Camilla Crown has the best high-waisted bottoms and crop tops.

Located in central Downtown is a shop specializing in plus-size fashion: Eye Candy Boutique. When you walk into the boutique, be ready for your eyes to shoot in every direction. Fiesta can get crazy which is why our day look consists of a dress while our night look features some dark wash jeans, so you have optimal movement without risk of embarrassment. The flowing, teal top and trendy, glitter shoes will be a great conversation starter. Not to mention those amazing booties paired with the army green dress. From dresses and jumpers to jeans and T-shirts (tons of Fiesta sayings!), Eye Candy Boutique is a one-stop shop for fashion essentials. The price point will cause your wallet to let out a sigh with blouses starting at $29 and denims at $38.

Just when we thought we couldn’t find another amazing local shop in San Antonio, we entered Chic’tique and Raba Vintage in La Villita and our minds exploded. Seriously, why have we been shopping at La Cantera?! Chic’tique and Raba Vintage features the best of bohemian, chic and vintage. For your daytime activities, make a statement in colorful embroidered shorts, a white top and a fringe short sleeve vest to tie it all together. Only like one item? Go make it your own! The ladies at the OPEN pop up will assist you in creating the ultimate Fiesta outfit. Once the sun sets, pull out the floral crop top and wide-legged jeans that pay homage to the ’60s. Don’t forget the choker and fringe purse to complete this sexy look.

When you’re shopping for your numerous Fiesta looks, why not shop local? Fiesta kicks off on April 14 and we’ll be out there searching for the best looking outfits.
