1. The Park at Pearl

2. Brackenridge Park

Brackenridge Park is home to some of San Antonio’s much-loved destinations including the Japanese Tea Gardens, the Brackenridge Golf Course and is walking distance from the Witte Museum and the San Antonio Zoo. 3. Woodlawn Lake Park

4. McAllister Park

Comprised of 976 acres, McAllister Park is located on the north side of San Antonio. During the day, visitors can picnic at one of their 179 picnic spots, explore their 25 miles of hiking, biking, and running trails, or enjoy the newly added dog park. 5. Government Canyon State Natural Area

For all day fun and overnight camping, Government Canyon State Natural Area has you covered. Visitors may enjoy scenic picnics, hiking, biking, running, geocaching and regularly scheduled programs. Government Canyon has more than 40 miles of trails for all levels of hikers and bikers. Adult entrance fees are $6 and children under 12 get in free. Bring your hiking shoes and picnic blankets for a day at Government Canyon State Natural Area, located at 12861 Galm Rd.
