Break out the bombers and your driving gloves.
Beer fans will want to schedule the opening of
5 Stones' new location in New Braunfels into their social calendar. The brewery first opened in Cibolo in 2013, and quickly outgrew its production space. Opened by Seth Weatherly, the brewery's niche is funky bombers a la Jester King, like the award-winning Aloha Pina.
The beer, which won a silver from the Great American Brew Festival in 2014, will be a part of the lineup along which will go on to include 4-packs, cans, and kegs, the latter of which will be mostly available exclusively in the taproom. Other changes came via the addition of Garrett Crowell, the former head brewer at Austin’s mixed-fermentation farmhouse mecca Jester King, who explored the 19-acres in search of fun flowers, juniper berries, freshly-sprouted leaves for small-batch experiments.
The tap room's grand opening will feature Palm Frites (1-8pm) and Cousins Maine Lobsters (5-8pm) and will open from noon to 8 p.m. Hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday and noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday going forward.
