Saturday, December 13: Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling turned four on November 21, but they postponed their celebration to December. Fans of the brewery can stop in for live music, food trucks and, best of all, special beer tappings and the release of Small Batch Series No. 10, a Belgian-style cardamom tripel. The brew will retail at Central Market, select H-E-B stores, Spec's, Whole Foods Market and specialty beer stores for less than $6. Saturday, December 13: The holidays mean tamales, but they don't have to mean busting your diet (or your belt). The Institute of Texan Cultures hosts Healthy Holidays Family Day in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank. The day will feature cooking demonstrations, family activities and crafts, plus nutrition and wellness information. Saturday, December 13: Ugly sweaters are so hot right now. All the Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants in Texas will celebrate the season with a Tacky Sweater Party where guests who don their garish holiday gear can receive a buy-one, get-one offer on burritos, bowls, salads or an order of tacos (with purchase). Saturday, December 13: Another fine distillery celebrates its anniversary this weekend. Dorçol Distilling in the South Flores Arts District turns one with cocktails, art, music and snacks. Sunday, December 14: Alamo City Provisions is hosting its last dinner of the year inside High Wire Arts. Chef John Russ (Lüke San Antonio) brings together Pieter Sypesteyn (The Cookhouse), Diego Galicia and Rico Torres (Mixtli), Elise Broz (Biga on the Banks), Luis Morales (Humble House Foods) and guest chef Heather Nañez (Bohanan's Prime Steaks and Seafood) for an evening of art-inspired fare that begins with a dessert! The menu includes Broz's coconut mousse, passion fruit, basil and chocolate dessert; Sypesteyn's cheese course; braised rabbit; scallop, mussel and oyster chowder; bigoli al sugo d'anitra; Hamachi, crisp delicata, white soy and toasted oats; and a cocktail by Jesse Torres of Mixtli. $120, 6-9pm, 326 W Josephine, alamocityprovisions.com.
